Right after your first year of college ends, your mom and dad—your only family—pass away in a car accident whilst on their way to pick you up for the summer. Gone, just like that in what everyone is calling a freak accident. Legally an adult, you're unsure of what to do when a man claiming to be a distant family friend reaches out to you one day over mail in a hastily written letter about an urgent visit. 

Drowning in documents full of legal jargon and the weight of responsibilities on your horizon, you forget about his promised visit until he makes it known to you of a world far beyond your imagination, where you learn that different people can hold wildly different opinions about the thing called "magic"...

Become acquainted with a colorful cast of characters as you hone your newborn abilities at a magical university, and make rivals, friends, or something more out of those you meet. Steamroll your way through magic courses with enthusiasm and vigor, or fail to learn anything and skip class when you really shouldn't. Deal with nuanced evils in the form of bounty hunters, lawless magic addicts, and disgruntled members of the magical community... or have some sympathy for the devil.
